A note to 52 Sketches 52 Weeks Subscribers:
As the Thanksgiving holiday draws to a close and the Christmas season begins, I find myself having much to be grateful for. I have a healthy, happy family, supportive friends, and a terrific hobby that allows me the opportunity to be creative. Almost 2 years ago I began this site. I was looking for a way to share my passion for scrapbooking with others & hopefully in some small way, inspire. I had seen sketches in magazines but had never created any myself. On a whim, I began a challenge site, played around with creating sketches on my computer, and 52 Sketches 52 Weeks was born. I never imagined it would grow as it did, or that I would have the opportunity to work with such talented people - it has been a wonderful journey. However, I have decided to take a break from running the site for 2010. It has been quite a difficult decision, but I am excited to spend the next year focusing on my design work. We still have 5 fabulous weeks of sketches, inspiration, and sponsored prizes so please stick with us - you definitely won’t want to miss out!!! I suggest to all of you to become readers of my personal blog (Starting Now), where I will still continue to share monthly sketches I create for kit clubs. Even though it will not be in the same format as this site, you will still have the opportunity to access sketch inspiration on a monthly basis
I want to extend a HUGE thank you to my wonderful Design Team members over the past year - who have provided such awesome inspiration both through their work & tutorials. Also, a VERY SPECIAL thank you to 52 Sketches 52 Weeks members - you are truly who have made this site so successful. Somehow, I was fortunate enough to attract the kindest, most motivating, most supportive scrappers to my site. You all have made running this such a pleasure. Thank you all so much
